So if you're planning on taking a trip to Italy there's a 99% chance that "Cinque Terre" is on your list. Now if you're that 1% that doesn't... let's change your mind. :)
Cinque Terre,
A coastal region of Italy consisting of five colorfully painted towns. Each holding its own unique traits and talented locals. If you're like me you've dreamed about visiting this coast for a really long time. I constantly saw pictures of it on Instagram, blogs, etc. and I thought: THAT is where I want to go. I prayed about it constantly asking god if I ever get the chance to get to Italy, I want to go here and I want to experience its beauty and relish in the fact that you created it. It's crazy to me that I actually got to do that! Let me tell you friends, if you have a dream, PURSUE IT! God can make the impossible possible. I remember jumping into the mediterranean ocean, laying in the water, looking up and saying "wow, god you are so good" I made it. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. He handcrafted those oceans, those people who's creativity made it the place it was today. Wow.
So if you're daydreaming already, I've put together some tips on how to get there (kinda tricky) and the places you must see. Enjoy!
• Getting There
- Before we left I did A BUNCH of research on this since I knew it was the one place I couldn't miss. The only way you can get to Cinque Terre is by train. Since it's close Firenze region, we took a train from Firenze Santa Maria Novella to La Spezia Centrale. This is the easiest way to do it. Google "Italia Rail" by Trenitalia. This is the main rail through Italy. It's also what we booked all of our train tickets through (Pisa, Venice to Rome, Rome to Florence). Super easy, and only $26!! Ah! Just make sure you get there with plenty of time to find your train or else you'll end up chasing your train like us 😅 (We can laugh now, but at the time we wanted to cry).
*TIP:
-buy your ticket just one way, once you get there you may not want to leave at the time you thought.
-bring a towel && a swimsuit! You're going to jump in in the ocean.
-Bring change to buy euro rail tickets
-Pack snacks and maybe a picnic for the beach.
• The Cities
-We got there at 8am and that still wasn't enough time to see every town. BUT. We did see three out of the five.

| Monterosso |
Monterosso is probably the most sought after location for a relaxing Italian beach day, The colorful umbrellas perfectly paint the beach for miles. The minute you step off the train.. wow. Beautiful! The only thing I wasn't too fond of was the rocky pebble beach. There was no sand. But it's a small price to pay for the views am I right? Get ready for the perfect pictures and sun kissed skin!

| Manarola |
My personal favorite and the most popular for photos and visiting. The picturesque landscape and winding streets filled with shops, gelato, and food give it five stars. I absolutely fell in love. There is no better place off the coast of Italy to visit. I knew from the minute we got there, I didn't want to leave. The colorful winding buildings are exactly as you probably picture them, breathtaking.

This was the second spot we visited. It was beautifully tucked between the train station and the ocean. The great thing about the cities is they're only a few minute train ride away from each other. The tickets are about 5 euros each. Not bad. You can always hike from each one to the next but it takes a lot longer.
